Holistic Therapy for Oklahoma City & Edmond

Sexual Health, Trauma Recovery, & Neurodiversity

At Pride in Self Counseling, we provide evidence-based support for individuals seeking to improve their mental, emotional, and relational well-being. Michael LeFever, MS, LCSW brings a unique, integrative perspective that combines clinical expertise in trauma and neurodivergence with specialized training in sex therapy.

Our practice focuses on the intersection of sex therapy, autism, and trauma. We support individuals navigating challenges related to intimacy, sexuality, identity, and connection, particularly those whose experiences are shaped by neurodivergence and past trauma. We recognize that when the brain remains in a heightened state of stress or anxiety, it can create barriers to safe, fulfilling relationships and embodied self-expression.

Using advanced, evidence-based approaches such as Brainspotting alongside trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming care, we work to reduce the impact of trauma, sensory overwhelm, and emotional shutdowns or meltdowns. We help clients better understand their bodies, boundaries, desires, and triggers in a way that fosters safety, autonomy, and self-trust.

Through a collaborative and affirming approach, we explore the connections between trauma recovery, sexual health, neurodiversity, and identity. Whether you are working through past experiences, exploring your sexuality, or navigating intimacy as an autistic individual, we help you build a sustainable and compassionate relationship with yourself and others.

Our goal is to provide the tools necessary to manage stress, deepen self-understanding, and cultivate meaningful, authentic connections with resilience and clarity.
